Non Service Claim Service Submission
The purpose of this window is to allow TE&Y personnel to submit Non-Service Claims. This window is accessed from Timekeeping drop-down on the Field Main Menu. When initially presented, this window displays your employee name and number. You are then required to supply the time frame that you wish to make your claim for. Once this information is provided the system scans the database for you and determines what assignment you owned at the beginning of this time frame. Once your assignment has been determined, the system displays your the Non-Service Class of Time profile, affiliated with that assignment. From this profile the system pre-selects only those classes of time that you may claim, and filter from that list only those claims that you are eligible for based on criteria specified on the Claim Eligibility window. The final list of eligible Non-Service claims is then presented to you to choose from. You then select the desired claim class of time by clicking on the button to the left, and are presented with the Non Service Claim submission window for further processing.
How to Select a Non Service Claim
Click on the FROM DATE/TIME calendar and select the date/time you wish to start your claim from.
Click on the TO DATE/TIME calendar and select the date/time you wish to end you claim.
Click on SELECT.
If you disagree with the assignment displayed, over-write it by clicking on it and keying-over with the assignment desired.
If you disagree with the service type displayed, key-over it with the service type desired.
The classes of time appropriate to your claim are displayed.
Click on the BUTTON to the left of the class of time you wish to claim.
Click on PROCESS.
How to Submit a Non Service Claim
Click on the SUBMIT CLAIM button.
Your claim will be submitted.
Click on the REMARKS button to enter remarks about your claim.
Click on UPDATE from the NOTEPAD COMMENTS window.
Your claim and remarks will be submitted.
Field and Button Descriptions

Description
Employee
The system displays the employee number and name of the user submitting the non-service claim. Data is used for display purposes only.
SSN
The system displays the employee social security number.
From Date/Time
You are required to supply the starting point of the non-service claim. The Date is required input, the time defaults to 0001, if left blank.
To Date/Time
This is the ending point of the non-service claim. You may optionally enter either the date or time or neither. If Date is left blank, the system defaults to the same date used in the From Date field, if the time is left blank the system defaults to 2359.
Assignment
The assignment selected by the system based on the employee and the starting point of the claim is displayed.
This assignment is used as the basis for selecting the proper Non-Service claim profile. This profile is used to determine which non-service classes of time employees assigned to that board or crew-id may claim. If the system is unable to locate an assignment for this employee at this point in time, the employee is required to supply one before any non-service claims are presented. Additionally, if the employee disagrees with the assignment presented, they may override the assignment with the desired one which causes the system to route for review any claims submitted against an assignment other than that determined by the system to be the employees legitimate assignment. If the employee does change the assignment presented, the system re-evaluates the display and offer the claims provided for on the New Non-Service Claim Profile before any claim submissions may be made. The assignment identifier consists of 4 unique elements, Circ7, Board Id, Crew Id, and Position.

The description associated with the presented Circ7 & Board is displayed. Data is used for display purposes only.
Service Type
The system presents the service type assigned to the employees Circ7/Board on the CMS Board Id/Crew Id window. This service type is used primarily to determine the appropriate rate for Non-Service claims when applicable. The employee may alter the service type presented to another valid service type if desired.
Service Type Description
The system presents the service type description corresponding to the Service Type. Display Only.
Class of Time
The system displays each Non-Service class of time code and associated description eligible for submission by the TE&Y employee. Employees then select the desired Class of Time and are then presented with the non-service claim submission window for further processing.

Click on Select to return the class of time display from which you may choose a class of time.
Send
When you click on this button it produces a Help Desk Reference number. Record this number.
Process
Click on Process after you have selected a class of time and you wish to move on to the next window to submit you claim.
Page Up
Click on Page Up to page ahead one page at a time.
Page Down
Click on Page Down to page down one page at a time.
Exit Screen
Click on Exit Screen to return to the previous window.
